What is Morning Sickness?
Almost every woman who becomes pregnant may experience
some degree of queasiness. For some there will be bouts of
vomiting, but for others the nausea will be mild. Despite its
name, morning sickness can occur anytime of the day or night.
What causes morning sickness?
Most research points to a sudden increase in hormones as
the cause of morning sickness.
How long will it last?
For most women who experience morning sickness, the
symptoms begin shortly after conception and subside around
fourteen weeks, at the beginning of your second trimester.
If you cannot keep down any food or liquid for more that
twenty-four hours, you should consult your physician.
